Grant or deny micro-credential applications

Grant or deny an application

Grantors are notified by email when an assessor submits a recommendation for them to grant or deny. You can hover on a micro-credential title to view its Submission ID.

You may use any of the filter, search or sort options to find a micro-credential.

  1. In the Application Queue, click Review to the right of the micro-credential you wish to review.
  2. Click Download Assessment under the assessor’s recommendation to download the assessor form.
  3. Review the completed assessor form and the assessor's recommendation, which is listed under the assessor's name.
  4. Record your decision by clicking either Grant or Deny.
  5. In the Private Comment field, enter any comments you wish to make to the assessor.
Only grantors and assessors can see these comments.
  6. Click Complete the Assessment to finish.

A notification email is sent to the applicant.

Return the assessment to assessor for a new assessor form

If an assessor forgets to upload or uploads a blank assessor feedback form, grantors can return the assessment to the assessor so they can complete their work.

  1. From the micro-credential submission's Assessment tab, scroll to the Private Comment field.
  2. In the Private Comment field, notify the assessor of why the assessment is being returned.
Only grantors and assessors can see these comments.
  3. Click the Pass Back to Assessor button.
  4. Choose an assessor from the Pass to Assessor window.
You can type the first few letters of the assessor's first or last name to filter the list.
  5. Click Save.
  6. The assessor receives an email notification and the assessment is reassigned.

Submit a corrected assessment form and then Grant / Deny

Grantors can alternately upload a corrected feedback form (if they have one) and grant/deny without passing the assessment back to the assessor.

  1. From the micro-credential submission's Assessment tab, scroll below the Private Comment field.
  2. Record your decision by clicking either Grant or Deny.
  3. Select Upload a New Feedback Form.
Note - You may need to click Remove to remove the assessor's current form.
  4. Click Upload File.
  5. In the upload window, drag the assessment form to the pane or click Choose File to select and attach your assessment form.
  6. An Upload Complete message displays when your file is successfully uploaded.
  7. Click Complete Assessment.

A notification email is sent to the applicant.
