Welcome to the BloomBoard Video: Reapplying for a Micro-credential
Once your micro-credential application has been reviewed, you will receive an email notifying you of your submission status.
If you are denied the micro-credential, you will receive an email similar to the one shown here, specifying that your submission did not meet the necessary requirements to earn this micro-credential.
Don’t worry though - you can reapply!
We'll show you how to find and use your assessor's specific feedback to review and revise your application for resubmission.
00:32 To re-apply for your micro-credential, sign in to your BloomBoard account.
After signing in you’ll be taken to your homepage.
From there, you’ll want to navigate to the micro-credentials tab.
On this page you can view the status of any micro-credentials for which you’ve clicked Get Started.
00:51 Here, I can see that I have one micro-credential denied, one awarded and one pending review.
To review submitted evidence and feedback, and to re-apply to a denied micro-credential, click the desired micro-credential badge.
Once you click the badge, you’ll see a Re-Apply button. Before reapplying, please note that you can review your submitted evidence on the Show Submitted Evidence tab.
More importantly, you will want to view the assessor’s feedback so you know which components of your submission need revision or updating.
01:23 To do this, toggle to the View Feedback tab.
To view assessor feedback, select the hyperlink that says Download assessor feedback.
Once you click this link, find the Assessor Form wherever you find your downloads.
The Assessor Form will show which components of your submission were passing, and which were not.
The Assessor Form will also give feedback and suggestions for how to meet the passing criteria.
01:50 It may also be helpful for you to share your work with a colleague or mentor who can help review your evidence and assessor feedback and provide suggestions.
To do this, toggle to the Share Your Work tab.
Here, select the work you’d like to share.
Next, enter the email address of the person with whom you’d like to share your evidence and or assessor feedback.
02:11 When you’re ready, click Send.
The person on the receiving end of the email will be given a link to access your evidence and or feedback form.
They do not need a BloomBoard account in order view these components.
Once you’re ready to re-apply, click the Re-Apply button.
The re-apply process is similar to the initial application process.
The Re-Apply button will take you back to the micro-credential submission page.
02:37 After you’ve made changes to your evidence, upload your documents.
Please keep in mind that you should upload all documents relevant to all components of the required evidence, not just those that did not receive a passing score.
The entire submission is necessary for assessor review.
03:02 Only when you’ve finished uploading all files relevant to your submission, click Submit For Review.
This will send your application to the assessor for scoring.
Please note that there is no limit on the number of times you can re-apply to a micro-credential, so it is perfectly fine if you have to repeat this process more than once.
